Old Friends

This is a drawing of Jane when she was living in the vault chatting it up with her best friend, and secret crush, Amata. I guess since they both grew up without mothers Jane and Amata were always close since they were babies.
When they were were around the age of 12 or 13 Jane started to develop romantic feelings towards Amata, but never really the had chance to tell her. Jane isn't a lesbian, she just didn't get along with any of the boys down in the vault. Jane was stubborn and protective of Amata whenever Butch or the tunnel snakes would pick on her. Even though Jane was always outnumber and physically weak she would still stay and fight them to keep Amata safe.
Amata's father never really like Jane, because he had suspicions of her feelings towards Amata, but he always kept this to himself.
